- Cabins are basic with bunk mattresses, light, electric outlets for small appliances, and a heater. You may bring a portable electric heater, extension cord, etc just in case.

- Only Verizon and AT&T cell phones have any reception in these mountains. Most others don’t.
- No smoking, drugs, alcohol etc permitted by campsite. This is a church site.
Food:
Friday: You are on your own. If you want to eat on your way up there, there are a few good food places right after exiting freeway and about 45 minutes to the campground. Look for Souplantation (salad bar and soup) at 228 W Hospitality Lane in San Bernardino (909-381-4772). Or Macaroni Grill (Italian) and Tortilla’s (Mexican) in Target shopping center, corner of Alabama and Lugonia. Or Uncle Howie’s Pizza (909-798-4068) at 800 E Lugonia Ave, between Church and University for vegetarian pizza.
Special needs: Participants with special needs will have to make their own arrangements for food items like Thepla, food for children, etc.
Coming late or leaving early? If you are coming late on Saturday morning, or if you are leaving early on Sunday, please let me know by Thursday. I will tell the campground kitchen to cook less accordingly. Wasting food is not our way of life. The cafeteria has no good use for extra food!A note about cafeteria hours: We will be served our meals 30 minutes ahead of other general groups. So while the others get their breakfast at 8:30, we will get ours at 8:00. Same way for lunch and dinner. So don’t be late at the cafeteria!
Raas-Garba Night:
If you have dandias, bring them. Also bring appropriate Indian clothes for playing Raas-Garba on Saturday night to live music by Pareshbhai, like what we wear in Navratri Garba. And it is more fun too… If you have extra dandiya, please bring them to loan others who don’t have any.
Important:
Bring good attitude, lots of cooperation, and a desire to share fun. Treat everyone as part of a big family in our group. Help everyone, even the people in other groups. We are ambassadors of India to outsiders. Participate in all activities that you can. However, some hiking trails are steep, so take them only if you are in good health. Don’t overdo anything. The nearest medical facility is miles away!
